Gestational Surrogacy

There are many roads that lead parents to the path of surrogacy. Some come to this path due to complications in past attempts to grow their family. Others are met with barriers that prevent them from physically carrying a child.
No matter what led you here, we, at Eve Fertility, understand the complexity of fulfilling your dream to become parents and will work closely with you to orchestrate a plan that works with your needs and circumstances. We do this by answering all of your questions, supporting you and your surrogate throughout IVF and pregnancy, calculating costs, referring you to loan providers, making sure you have all the legal documents needed to protect you and yours, and more!
We created a step-by- step methodology to make this process exciting and less overwhelming for you.
Here is an overview of our process at Eve Fertility:
Step 1: Initial consultation with your coordinator at Eve Fertility: Taking this first step in your journey toward parenthood is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make throughout this process. We will explain the process and make sure to answer all your questions.
Step 2: Egg donor match and embryo creation: While we look for the perfect surrogate, the next step in your journey (if necessary) will be to identify your egg donor. Once the donor egg(s) are retrieved, they’ll be fertilized to create embryos.
Step 3: Surrogate match: Going over surrogates profiles can be overwhelming and emotional. We will help you identify candidates that are the best fit for you and your family.
Step 4: Background check, financial screening and legal preparation: During this stage of your journey, we will make sure all official documents are in place to start the process; you’ll undergo a background check to ensure that you’re ready to become parents, while your surrogate will go through medical and mental screenings. Additionally, you’ll need to work closely with your lawyer to draft a surrogacy contract. If you’re using an egg donor, you’ll also need a legal contract with your donor to solidify her responsibilities and expectations.
Step 5: IVF cycle and embryo transfer: Once you and your surrogate have passed the necessary screenings, your surrogate is ready for the IVF cycle.
Step 6: Pregnancy and monitoring: The longest stage of your journey will be the time you strengthen your bond with your surrogate as she carries your baby throughout the pregnancy. Your coordinator will be checking in frequently to monitor and provide support.
Step 7: Birth and postpartum: We did it!!! When your child is released from the hospital, you will take your baby home and start the next chapter of your life! U.S. parents usually travel home shortly after release, whereas international patients may choose to stay in the U.S. for two to four weeks after the birth, to obtain the necessary paperwork. We will make sure to make these moments enjoyable and comfortable, while providing everything you and your baby need before traveling home.
In addition to our surrogacy master plan, we work with licensed medical insurance agents nationwide to pull together plans and policies to mitigate financial risk factors for all involved parties. Since medical insurance benefits for surrogates are often not available, we address each individual situation and negotiate payment plans with hospitals and physicians for your surrogate's maternity care and delivery.
